Art Vs Content

I’m a writer who is tired of chasing content over art.

When I was a kid…before life did that beat you down thing it does sometimes -

I dreamt of writing Plays not tiktoks.

Of making Movies not reels.

Of making Art not content.

I dreamt about expressing myself not influencing.

We are artists not content creators.

We are artists not commercials.

We are artists and not….

….a commodity for fascist social media CEO’s to profit off of while we spend every month figuring out which streaming service we can’t afford anymore.

The last time I got off social media I wrote and shot a TV pilot. That was just for a month. Let’s see what happens with 6.

For the first time in my life I am ready to own being an artist.

I am making the art I want the way I want and then when I come back I’m gonna figure out how to get it to my people.
